
Charley Boorman to attend Dirt Bike Show

Charley Boorman, the star of Long Way Round and Long Way Down will be attending this year's Annual Dirt Bike Show on Saturday the 15th November. The actor who has recently completed his successful series 'By Any Means' and who is a keen Off Road enthusiast is visiting the show to view what 2009 has to offer in the Off Road World. The Dirt Bike Show once again takes place at Stoneleigh Park, Coventry from the 13th - 16th November.
Other celebrities set to attend this year's show include ex World Superbike Champion Troy Corser and World Superbike rider Chris Walker, who recently rode at the Weston Beach Race. Motocross riders who are expected to attend include ex World Champion Dave Thorpe who will be introducing his new CCM team of Tom Church, Jason Dougan and Ray Rowson.
British star Tommy Searle is hoping to make an appearance before he leaves to race in America for 2009. Recently crowed British MX2 Champion Shaun Simpson will be making an appearance at the show on the Thursday and Friday. The list of other riders hoping to attend the Dirt Bike Show this year, from all forms of racing includes Motocross riders Elliott Banks-Browne, Jake Nicholls, Bryan Mackenzie and Ashley Greedy.
Trials stars Alexz Wigg and Sam Haslam, Enduro sensation Tom Sager will be joined by British Enduro Champion Si Wakely and celebrities hoping to come from road racing include Cal Crutchlow, Leon Haslam, Simon Andrews and Tom Bridewell.
Adding to the celebrities attending, all the manufacturers will be there displaying their new machines for 2009 plus various distributors will have all their new kit, boots, helmets and protective wear on display, plus there will be plenty of Christmas bargains to grab over the four days.
Dirtbikexpress Ltd will have a Tommy Searle and Tyla Rattray signed helmet to give away in a prize draw. On the DBR Stage you will be given the chance to win an Xbox 360 and Lee at D-zign is hoping to have a start gate reaction device, which tests how fast your reactions are, the lucky winner will be presented with a brand new Arai helmet, with an exclusive painted Relentless design, normally a privilege only given to sponsored riders.
On the entertainment side, Danny Butler along with Ben Slinger will be putting on a cycle trials display outside the main entrance three times a day, which is free to all visitors.
