Simpson will race at Weston this weekend

KTM UK racer Shaun Simpson will join the super-star line-up to contest the Weston Beach Race this coming weekend.

The recently crowned MX2 British Champion will join the likes of Stefan Everts, Tyla Rattray, David Knight and Marc de Reuver in this year's main solo race at Weston-super-Mare this weekend.

The 20-year-old Scot, who narrowly missed out on a podium in his first Des Nations race at Donington Park a few weeks ago, is looking forward to riding in the challenging three-hour race. The rising British star is looking forward to challenging some of the stiff competition at Weston, as well as mixing it up with the 1000's of competitors taking on this year's super-tough challenge.

Simpson will join the factory KTM squad next year for his assault on the World MX2 Championship, in which he finished in an incredible fourth position overall this year. The KTM UK pilot will be looking to finish his season off in style with his first Weston win, especially against some of the dominant forces in World Championship racing that are taking part this year.

The 2008 Weston Beach Race also includes many exciting off-track activities including a charity 'Beach For Life' fun run in aid of Cancer Research, stunt displays, a chance to win a quad, as well as many different types of trade stands - all aimed at a fun family weekend out.
